MISSION

Design and production of the scenography, sets, and multimedia for the temporary exhibition “Futuropolis, la légende” at the Cité de la Bande Dessinée et de l’Image.

Concept

With hundreds of graphic documents, the exhibition chronologically traces the history of the publishing house. Employees, authors, and journalists who have contributed to the company’s reputation are given a voice through short audiovisual testimonials placed throughout the exhibition. The scenographic tour features reconstructions of settings that allow visitors to immerse themselves in the history of Futuropolis.

Nature of collections on display

Several dozen original plates by authors published by Futuropolis, such as Moebius, Tardi, the Bazzoka group, José Muñoz, and Edmond Baudoin. In addition, there are original copies, excerpts from television reports, and numerous graphic documents belonging to Etienne Robial, co-founder of the publishing house.
